Terms of Use - Medsbag App

This agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between you as a user and Medsbag AB. By using the app, you consent to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of this document, you must immediately stop using the app.

Introduction

Medsbag is a mobile application that enables users to collect, store, and share vital medical information – particularly for children with chronic or acute conditions. The service is intended for guardians and other responsible persons who need to manage and share information with, for example, school staff, coaches, or babysitters. By creating an account and using the app, you agree to comply with these terms and applicable data protection laws.

Definitions

  • "App" refers to the Medsbag application provided by Medsbag AB.
  • "User" refers to any person who uses or has access to the app.
  • "Content" refers to all information, data, text, images, audio, or other material that the user stores in the app.

Service Functionality

The app allows you to:

  • Enter medical information such as conditions, allergies, medications, action plans, etc.
  • Create profiles for other individuals (e.g., children) with their information.
  • Share medical information via a unique sharing link.

You are solely responsible for having consent or legal authority (e.g., as a guardian) to enter and share information about other persons.

Sharing Information via Link

When you share a medical profile, an open web link is created containing a unique ID (UID). This link:

  • Is not password protected or restricted by login.
  • Is technically difficult to guess, but anyone with the link can access the information.
  • Should only be shared with trusted individuals.
  • Is shared entirely at the user's own risk.

Medsbag AB cannot be held responsible for who accesses a link that you choose to share. The link is intended to simplify communication in emergency situations but is not classified as a secure channel.

Account Registration

To use the app's features, you must create an account and provide accurate and updated information. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your information current.
  • Protecting your login credentials.
  • Ensuring that the information you provide about others is legally permitted.

Privacy and Data Protection

The use of the app is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement. Medsbag AB:

  • Only collects personal data required for the app to function.
  • Does not read, analyze, or distribute the content you enter.
  • Does not share your or your child’s data with third parties.
  • Processes sensitive personal data (e.g., health and child-related data) with explicit consent in accordance with GDPR.
  • May collect anonymous usage data to improve functionality and user experience.

You acknowledge and agree that Medsbag AB is not a medical system, but a tool to help share information.

Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is." While we strive for high availability:

  • We do not guarantee that the app is free from errors, downtime, or bugs.
  • We are not responsible for availability issues due to server problems, internet disruptions, or technical faults.
  • You use the app at your own risk.

Medsbag AB is not responsible for:

  • The accuracy or completeness of the information you provide.
  • Any direct or indirect damages resulting from the app not functioning.
  • Decisions or actions taken based on the information in the app.

Critical Situations and Action Plans

We strongly recommend that you always have a written action plan available, especially in emergencies. The app may crash, be unavailable, or lack a network connection during an emergency. Therefore, the digital information in the app should be seen as a supplement – not a replacement – for physical instructions and documents.

Indemnification

By using the app, you agree to indemnify and hold Medsbag AB, its employees, and partners harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or demands arising from:

  • Your use of the app.
  • Incorrect or incomplete information provided by you.
  • The sharing of links containing sensitive information.

Intellectual Property

All content in the app belonging to Medsbag AB (e.g., logos, design, graphics, code) is protected under Swedish and international copyright law. You may not reuse, distribute, or copy any material without written permission from the company.

Account Termination

You may terminate your account and request the deletion of your data at any time. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or threaten the safety of other users.

Changes

Medsbag AB reserves the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. You will be informed of significant changes via the app or email. By continuing to use the app, you accept the new terms.
